The Start of Something New
If you don't hear High School Musical in your head, I don't really know what to say to you.
I thought long and hard before starting this blog. Even as I write this, I'm not sure. But they say courage is acting not in the absence of doubt, but acting despite the doubt. (Actually, I don't know whether anyone says that, but it's true).
I feel like my greatest setback is doubt and a sometimes crippling fear of failure. I don't even like to participate in small competitions because I don't want to lose, I hate to. But apparently, failure is a learning curve or something like that. So I've been trying to take risks and give myself the opportunity to learn this past month. Besides, what's a success story without a couple of failures?
I've been reading Talent is Never Enough by John C. Maxwell and I'm trying my best to implement what I'm learning. This blog is a product of that. I've realized that I ironically do the same things the same way and expect different results. I never really thought the method was the problem, I figured it was my effort. But in this year, I'm assessing everything and making necessary changes to build the life I desire.
So here's to new challenges, to risk taking, to history making, to trying, failing and trying again. To the start of something new.
While you're here, let me know what kind of content you'll like to see the most of. Short stories, blogs or articles? All of the above? or do you have a suggestion of your own? What controversial issues do you want to hear about?
Let me know :)
Great step in the right direction. I look forward to many more interesting reads from you. 🥰
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this and I’m glad you took the step.
ReplyDeleteRisk taking is something I dread the most. They say there's no success without an iota of failure. Maybe, maybe not. Why not just give it a try. I look forward to many more reads from your depth of knowledge
